More holiday thoughts...

As the semester races to a close, I have been thinking a lot lately about how hard it is to finish one's school work and choose a major or hunt for a job  at the same time. Whether you are an underclass student or a graduating senior, this is the time of year when visits home can  be stressful, when every relative is asking about your after college plans. So...my suggestion to you is to give yourself an end of semester, holiday "gift": that of recognizing that there is only so much you can do at one time, that commuting, sitting in traffic on Route 46, working at your  part-time job, going to class, researching and writing papers or prepping for a lab, seeing an occasional friend, and finally, hopefully trying to get some sleep doesn't leave much time for figuring out what to do with the rest of your life. So, don't feel guilty if you can't answer Uncle Sam's standard question over the holiday ham or turkey or lasagna: "How ya gonna make a living if you major in .....?"

What should you do? Relax, try to "enjoy" the rest of December and know that your career advisor is around during the break and is here to help you. Come visit us!
